Imago reaches way out into communities at home in Portland and throughout the United States serving children and adults in many different ways.
Kid Fest, Field Trips, In-School Performances and Mentorships.
Kid Fest serves underprivileged families with a full day of activities including workshops, behind the scenes tours, interaction with professional actors, a free lunch and a performance of one of Imago's nationally-acclaimed family shows.
Field Trips serve K-12 Portland area schools with a performance of one of Imago's nationally acclaimed productions in the intimate 220-seat theater.
Mask Works, the company's in Oregon and SW Washington school performance-lecture program, enriches children's lives by giving them an opportunity to experience the power of theater via an educational behind-the-scenes look at mask work as done in the company's signature style.
Youth Mentorships Program auditions then selects twenty to thirty local actors and technicians -- ranging in age from 18 to 29 -- then trains and prepares them to participate in two to four Imago productions yearly.
All of Imago Theatre's outreach programs demystify the company's work allowing students and mentorship members to understand the techniques and styles employed by the company. The company serves 25,000 to 35,000 annually in education outreach and performances.
